CURCHOREM: Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral has said that the Shobha Arvind Karmali murder case if not solved within 3 days will be handed over to CID or CBI.
It may be recalled that deceased Shobha Arvind Karmali from Madhegal-Cacora was found murdered at her residence on October 7.
Local MLA Nilesh Cabral, who had visited the site, had said that the police at first place should thoroughly investigate the case and if the case is not solved at the earliest, it will be handed over to higher authorities.
He was addressing the media after attending the fourth Sangeet Natak Mahotsav at Ravindra Bhavan Hall, Curchorem.
When questioned on the progress of investigation, Cabral said that he had spoken to Curchorem PI Ravindra Dessai and Quepem DySP Sammy Tavares and hade directed them to solve the case within 3 days or else he would speak to chief minister and request him to hand over the case to CID or CBI.
“Police were posted on BRICS duty which concluded recently, I have already asked the investigating officer to concentrate on the case and achieve results,” Cabral said.
