PANJIM: As interrogation of the four accused in the NEET impersonation case is underway, Old Goa police have stumbled upon information about the absconding prime accused Ojha. Sources, however, told Herald that Ojha, whose identity and postal address is yet to be established, would contact genuine candidates and offer them a deal on the examination.
“Ojha would get details of candidates appearing for different entrance exams. He would randomly pick candidates and contact them asking if they would want an impersonator to appear on their behalf. There were some who would fall prey to his deal while some would reject,” Sources said.
The police are, however, having a tough time extracting details of the main accused who apparently resides in Bangalore. The teams are also tracing the whereabouts of one more person allegedly involved in the racket.
