The Konkani words on the sign board in Karwar were
blackened. The act has been blamed on activists of Kannada Rakshan
Vedika Sangh. Reacting to this development, the Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant said no one
should promote hatred over a language. He further went on to say authorities in
Karnataka should take cognizance of the issue.
