No rave party took place at Arambol, says Pernem PI

PERNEM: Refuting claims made by the locals, Pernem PI Sandesh Chodankar on Wednesday informed that no rave party took place at Arambol. 

“When people informed us about the party, our team rushed to the spot. However, we did not find any party happening at Arambol and also there were no foreigners at that particular spot”, PI Chodankar said.

It was reported to the Pernem Police that on Saturday night, that a group of foreigners had organised rave party at Arambol. A police team rushed to the spot immediately but before that, the foreigners had fled. 

According to available information, the spot where police visited was not the actual spot where the party was planned but at another spot at Arambol where there is a huge banyan tree. The foreigners spend their time here. 

Sources informed that there are number of foreigners staying in rented premises in Arambol. However, they are not ready to go back to their countries as the COVID-19 situation in these nations is worse than India.
