MARGAO: Sympathising with the civic employees, Margao Municipal Chairperson Dayanand Deulkar has said that someone has played mischief in the civic body to cause delay in issuing the promotional orders of the four municipal employees.
Deulkar said he has been after the Chief Officer Deepali Naik since the last 5-6 days to issue the promotional orders to the employees, but in vain. “I fail to understand why the Chief Officer delayed in issuing the orders when the DPC mandates the Chief Officer to issue the orders without delay”, Deulkar wondered.
Saying that the problem has arisen due to pure administrative reasons, Deulkar reminded that the councillors have no role to play in the delay in issuing the promotional orders. Deulkar and some councillors were seen at the police station late this evening as the arrested employees were bracing up to move the court for bail.
