VASCO: Responding to the call given by All India Petrol Pump Dealers’ Association, the All Goa Petrol Pump Dealers’ Association on Tuesday evening observed a total “black out” (no sale) for 15 minutes at all the petrol pumps across the state.
According to AGPPDA president Paresh Joshi, the “blackout” was observed across all petrol pumps in Goa for 15 minutes (from 7 pm to 7.15 pm) to show the unity of the petrol pump dealers to the oil companies and to convey their dissatisfaction for not settling some of their demands.
“We have several pending issues, which the oil companies have failed to resolve. Issues such as dealer margin, which the oil companies recently increased, are insufficient and inadequate. Similarly, the transportation charges paid to the dealers are being curtailed, which are unjust and opposed by us. Another issue which is not having much impact on Goa is blending of Ethenol in fuel, which is improper.
