PANJIM: In regard to the cabinet decision on cancelling the selection of two SICs ~ Defence ministry officer Stanley Coutinho and journalistSandesh Prabhudessai ~ and sending the selection process itself to the Law Department for legal opinion, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikarsaid: “This is not a blemish on the candidates… I think we selected the best. Politically, Sandesh and me may have our differences but I considered him the best candidate.”
He added: “Procedurally somequestions have been raised so I put it before the cabinet. So we decided to cancel it and decided to refer to the Law Department.”
