PANJIM:The Congress accused the BJP for enticing farmers by proving low grade fertilizers in a bid to influence the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2014, and that too of sub standard quality.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, Congress Legislature Party Spokesperson Reginaldo Lourenco also alleged the BJP for cheating farmers by distributing low grade Rock phosphate in a bid get votes for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
He alleged the rock phosphate being distributed was only of 10-11% quality as against 18% standard quality.
He said that the various other fertilizers which were distributed to farmers were also sent for testing and the reports testify the low grade quality of fertilizers and wanted a CBI inquiry in this at the earliest.
