“On Wednesday I was hired by one person seeking a drop to Calangute beach. I had asked for Rs 1,000, but after negotiation it was decided that he would pay Rs 900. Upon reaching near Ganpati temple in Shantinagar, the customer told me that he was feeling uneasy and asked me to get a bottle of water. I thought he was genuine and got out of the car keeping the engine on to get water for him. Before I could see behind he drove off with my car,” Sameer said.
He further said, “I managed to get a lift and followed the car till Chicalim. However the man drove my car at high speed and disappeared. I went till Bambolim in search of my car and finally I got information from Agassaim police that my car was found abandoned near Dona Paula. I have registered my complaint before Agassaim police as well as Vasco police,” he said.
