NSUI calls for holding polytechnic final exam online

PANJIM: The National Students Union of India (NSUI), Goa unit along with diploma students on Wednesday called on the principal of the Government Polytechnic Panjim (GPP) demanding that the final examination be held via a online mode in view of ongoing pandemic. 

Addressing media persons post meeting, NSUI Goa chief Naushad Chaudhary claimed that the principal has assured to hold online examination for the final year students as well as pending internal examinations. 

“Principal has informed that the circular in this regard will be issued shortly,” he claimed further. 

The NSUI protest was following a circular by GPP on July 6, stating that the pending examinations will be conducted in physical mode. 

NSUI pointed out to the principal that the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant is on record to State that no examinations will be conducted in offline mode till the situation becomes conducive for the same. 

Nearly 1,500 students are set to answer.
