PANJIM: The Congress-backed students’ body NSUI, on Monday, demanded a CBI inquiry against the BJP’s student wing ABVP across the country including the Goa-based Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for their possible involvement in the alleged CBSE exam paper leak.
Three people were arrested in Jharkand as suspects in the CBSE paper leak, all affiliated to ABVP.
Addressing media persons, NSUI State president Ahraz Mulla said, “The re-examination orders in the entire country by CBSE, itself proves that the leak papers had reached all the States. Who is behind this?”
“Suspects who are arrested are ABVP members and hence inquiry must be conducted against ABVP wings in all States, including Goa,” Mulla demanded.
NSUI in Goa has also demanded the resignation of Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javadekar for failing to handle the issue.
NSUI reiterated their demand that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is currently admitted in a hospital in USA, should hand over his responsibility.
“Government has failed to protect the livelihood and employment of youth dependent on mining,” NSUI general secretary Nitin Pathkar said.
