VASCO: A 28-year-old youth hailing from Odisha and currently residing in the port town died of electric shock he came in contact with a live wire at the under construction site of the fish market at Vasco on Monday.
The police gave the name of the victim as Umashankar Katta, who was working as a mason at the under construction site.
The Vasco police were informed about the tragic death of the youth by the doctors from the Sub District Hospital, Chicalim.
Later police visited the spot and conducted the inquest panchanama and sent the body to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao for post-mortem examination. The police have ruled out foul play.
