PANJIM: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Tuesday lodged a police complaint against BJP candidate from Chittapur, Karnataka, Manikanta Rathod at the Panjim police station for allegedly intimating a sinister plot to kill All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge and his family.
A delegation headed by GPCC president Amit Patkarudhary and others visited the Panjim police station and handed over the complaint to the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) in the absence of the Police Inspector. The delegation also met Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh and submitted a copy of the said complaint.

After filing the complaint, Patkar said that they demanded to immediately file a FIR and conduct a probe of the audio of Karnataka BJP candidate from Chittapur constituency, Manikanta Rathod revealing “Sinister & Ugly Plot” for ‘Killing’ Mallikarjun Kharge and his family by the BJP workers.
Brazen hatred of the BJP towards the political opponent’s is manifesting itself into a ‘Murder Plot’, Patkar said that it was shocking and surprising that the top BJP leadership as well as Election Commission of India (ECI) choose to remain ‘Mute’ as an ‘Assassination Plot’ brews.
