CAC Sports and Social Club Cansaulim secured a place in the final of the 5th Betalbatim Villagers Cup after defeating Parish Youth Nuvem 4-2 on penalties in the second semifinal at the Panchayat Ground, Betalbatim, on Monday.
The tournament is being organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club.

The semifinal produced an intense contest, with both Parish Youth Nuvem and CAC Cansaulim showing determination and creating opportunities, but neither side managed to find the net during regulation time.
Nuvem came close to breaking the deadlock in the 15th minute when Albino Pereira got an opportunity, but his effort sailed over the crossbar.
CAC Cansaulim responded with a good chance when Deepak Kadam found himself in a one-on-one situation with the Nuvem goalkeeper. However, his shot was straight at the goalkeeper, who made the save.
With neither team able to score before the final whistle, the match was decided by a penalty shootout. CAC Cansaulim proved more composed from the spot, converting their chances to secure a 4-2 victory and book their place in the final.
Jesus D’Sa of CAC Cansaulim was named Player of the Match and received the award from Anand Borkar, CA, of Betalbatim.
CAC Cansaulim will now face Sporting Club Davorlim in the final of the 5th Betalbatim Villagers Cup. The summit clash is scheduled to be played on August 30, 2026, on the feast day of St Bartholomew.
