Old age home at Majorda to be protected for 200 years, says Chief Minister

Minister Subhash Shirodkar assured to upgrade the old age home run by the Provedoria at the earliest.

MARGAO: ‘Half Way Home’, an old age home at Majorda, will be protected for the next 200 years, assured Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. 

At the function organized by the Institute of Public Assistance (Provedoria), CM in the present Minister for Provedoria, Subhash Shirodkar, Nuvem MLA Alexio Sequeira and others also said that the people of Nuvem constituency will feel proud that their MLA has taken the right decision in joining the BJP. 

“I am of cent per cent sure that even the people of Nuvem constituency will feel proud that MLA Alexio Sequeira has taken the right decision by joining the BJP. It is my promise to the people that they will see overall development in the Nuvem constituency in the coming days,” said Sawant.

He said the experience of Sequeira in politics will certainly help the government to carry out the overall development of the state. 

“The government has spent lots of money on the renovation of this old age home and we are sure that it will certainly benefit the needy. The Government will protect this old age home for the next 200 years and that is my assurance,” the CM stated.

While Sequiera stated that there is a big difference between old age homes at Majorda and Loutolim.
