MAPUSA: Mapusa police on Wednesday arrested one Suyesh Mayekar, 21, resident of Bastora in connection with motorcycle theft, which was stolen from Paliem-Ucassaim in April 2020.
According to Mapusa police, an incident had occurred on April 21, 2020 wherein a bike belonging to Clayton D’Souza, which was parked next to his house, was stolen and had both number plates of the bike thrown away.
On Wednesday, Mapusa police received information from reliable sources that one youth from Bastora has been riding a two-wheeler without a number plate. Accordingly police detained the youth and during interrogation he confessed his involvement in the crime. Accused person had changed the colour of the bike from orange to white.
Police also recovered the stolen bike from the accused person.
