QUEPEM: Quepem Police have arrested one 21-year-old local from Quepem with 696 grammes of narcotic substance suspected to be ganja worth Rs 1.38 lakh.
As per information provided by Quepem Police Station Police Inspector Deepak Pednekar, the police were keeping a watch on the 21-year-old youth for the past many days. The police caught him at Pimpoliotto, here, when he had come to deliver the consignment to a customer. It is learnt that the youth is one of the history-sheeter’s associate.
The police have registered a case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
