One remanded to police custody in drugs case

MARGAO: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Margao on Friday remanded Mahesh Dudve, aged 25, of Madhya Pradesh to four days police custody in a drugs case. Dudve was arrested by Colva Police on Thursday forpossessing of ganja worth Rs 80,000.

Colva Police Station Police Sub Inspector Jaideep Amre had lodged a complaint on behalf of the State and an offence under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act was registered against the accused.

According to police, in a narcotic raid, Dudve was caught red-handed for possessing ganja weighing 1,226 grams worth Rs 80,000, near Cavelossim Bridge.
