Opa officials heave sigh of relief

PONDA: With the arrival of the rains, the officials of the Opa water treatment plant heaved a sigh of relief on Tuesday.
The officials were worried over the steady drop in water level at the Opa reservoir and were forced to restrict water supply. At times, the officials even pumped water from mining pits to the Opa reservoir to maintain the water level.
And with the arrival of rains, the officials hope that the water level at the reservoir rises to the normal and that they would be able to supply unrestricted water.
Meanwhile, the residents of Ponda, who were suffering under the sweltering heat, also felt relieved after the rains brought the temperatures down.
