Margao: Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar hit back at his detractors on Friday with regard to the criticism over the move to reopen hotels and allow tourists to enter the State
While addressing media persons, Ajgaonkar, on Friday, alleged that Opposition Leader and Congress MLA Digambar Kamat is playing politics over the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the State.
He added that they will not spare the people who are spoiling the ‘honest’ name of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
He further challenged Congress leaders to prove the allegations of corruption that they constantly make against the government.
He also stated that the tourism department has received 260 applications for the opening of hotels, while indicating that the tourism industry itself has called for such a move.
