SANGUEM: The feast of Our Lady of Pilar was celebrated with great enthusiasm, gaiety and religious fervour at Pilar Sisters Convent at Uguem on Saturday.
A large number of priests and nuns attended the feast Mass, which was celebrated by Fr Tadeo Da Silva, the parish priest of Our Lady of Miracles Church, Sanguem. In his homily, Fr Da Silva said, “As Mary lived for others, we are also called to live likewise as missionaries baptised and send to proclaim the Good News. May Mother Mary be a pillar of courage and strength to work in the Lord’s mission.”
Sr Maria Fernandes thanked Fr Da Silva, Chaplain Fr Greg Abel Fernandes and all others who participated in the feast and provided their help during the festive celebration.
