Out of Rs 41.23 cr allocated to State Rs 11.61 cr has been utilised: MoRTH

PANJIM: Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has stated that Rs 41.23 crore has been allocated to Goa since 2019 out of which Rs 11.61 crore has been utilised. 

The MoRTH revealed the data of funds allocated and the expenditure in the respective States for maintenance of National Highways, while speaking about initiatives taken to overcome constraints due to COVID-19.

For the financial year (FY) 2019-20, the Ministry had allocated Rs 6.59 crore out of which Rs 1.13 crore was utilised; in FY 2020-21 Rs 18.95 crore was allocated out of which Rs 8.02 crore was utilised; and then until June 2021 Rs 15.69 crore was allocated out of which Rs 2.46 crore was utilised.
