PANJIM: The Panjim Carnival Committee on Wednesday announced the prize winners of the Carnival float parade held in Panjim.
In the traditional category, the first prize was bagged by Amche Porsantlim Fulam (Curtorim) while the second prize went to Save Wild Life to Protect Mankind (Raia), third prize to Juvemche Goundde (St Estevam), fourth prize to Mul Goenkarand (Curtorim) the fifth place to Mainath Bhatti (Arpora).
In the Junk Car category, the first prize was awarded to T-birds (Sangolda), second prize to Boys of Bardez (Mapusa), third prize went to Jolly Good Family (Mapusa) while the fourth prize was awarded to Interment is the Future (Rivona) and the fifth prize went to Savasa Riders (Panjim).
In the Club/Institutional category, the first prize was awarded to Boys of Sangolda (Sangolda), second prize to Goan Fisherman (Calangute), third prize went to Musical Instruments (Curtorim) while the fourth prize was awarded to Stop Bullfights Save Bulls (Shiroda) and the fifth prize went to Red Devils (Caranzalem).
In the Family category the first prize went to Prince and Princess Family (Saligao), second to St Sebastian Boy’s Angry Dragon, (Mapusa), third to Garden with Butterfly (Campal), fourth to Fernandez Family (Revora) and the fifth to Blazia Rebello (Macazana).
In the Clown category the first prize was bagged by Lenin Viegas (Taleigao), second Goan Dhangar (Quepem), and third prize to Statue of Nustekar (Quepem) fourth to Susegad Goemkar (Colva) and the fifth to Stoneage Couple, (Vasco).
In the Sponsored Category the first prize went to Real Group of Companies.
