Panjim Police have submitted an application before the Special Court in Merces requesting additional time to continue their investigation in the ongoing case involving Rama Kankonkar and Zenito Cardozo.
According to the police, further verification is required, including the authentication of Rama Kankonkar’s caste certificate. Investigators are also awaiting the forensic report of the cow dung allegedly used in the crime, while crucial data from Zenito Cardozo’s mobile phone is yet to be retrieved.
Meanwhile, the hearing on Zenito Cardozo’s bail application has been adjourned to November 26, allowing the police more time to gather pending evidence and complete procedural requirements.
