Employees and staff of Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) carried out a large-scale cleanliness drive at Hollant Beach on Saturday, undertaking efforts to clean the popular tourist destination and its surrounding areas.
The initiative was led by PPL Chief Manufacturing Officer Suresh Pramanik, along with company employees, who collected litter and cleaned the beach stretch as well as nearby public spaces.

Hollant Beach, one of South Goa’s most picturesque coastal destinations and a popular picnic spot, attracts a large number of visitors throughout the year. The cleanliness drive aimed to preserve the beach’s natural beauty and promote responsible waste management practices.
Speaking on the occasion, company representatives urged visitors to help keep the beach clean by avoiding littering and ensuring that waste generated during picnics and outings is properly disposed of or taken back.
They emphasized that community participation is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and ecological health of public spaces and coastal areas.
As part of its commitment to environmental conservation, PPL also announced plans to introduce additional measures to improve cleanliness at the beach, including the installation of dustbins and other facilities to encourage proper waste disposal and reduce littering.
Velsao Deputy Sarpanch Kishan Sankolkar, who was present during the drive, appreciated the efforts of the company and its employees in contributing towards the protection and upkeep of the coastal environment.
The cleanliness campaign forms part of PPL’s ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives focused on environmental awareness, sustainability, and encouraging responsible civic behaviour among residents and visitors alike.
