MARGAO: The family members of Chandrasekhar alias Shekhar Velip, 27 whose body was found floating in the Talpona river have asked the Canacona police to register and investigate the case as murder.
It may be recalled that based on the post-mortem report, the police had registered the case as unnatural death.
The parents refused to accept the police version that Velip had drowned and in a memorandum submitted to the Canacona PI demanded that a murder case be registered, a thorough investigation is conducted and justice is given to them. The family alleged that the deceased had no clothes on his body, and his face was disfigured.
