VASCO: The Dabolim Airport police on Wednesday registered a case against Gaddam Srinivas, 45, a passenger from Andhra Pradesh for lighting a cigarette with a match box in the lavatory of a flight due to which the smoke fire alarm started buzzing.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night when the flight was airborne.
On hearing the alarm, the passenger immediately flushed the cigarette in thetoilet thereby causing panic among passengers.
A case has been registered under section 287 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in this regard and PSI Prathamesh Palkar is conducting investigations.
