However, an express bus of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), on Sunday morning, took two hours to travel from Karwar to Canacona.
The reason was that the bus driver had to return for the bus conductor, who was accidentally left behind.
A few passengers informed the bus driver that there was no conductor to collect the fares. By that time, the bus had travelled several kilometers. After realizing the blunder, the driver returned to the Karwar bus stand to retrieve the conductor.
While the passengers travelling to Goa were greatly inconvenienced, they reached their destination safely.
