Patra murder accused says he was hired to assault tiatrist

VASCO: The Seby Patra murder case took a new turn on Saturday after one of the arrested accused, namely, Samir Sheikh alias Chammu confessed to Vasco police that he was hired to assault tiatr artiste Conception de Tuem.

VASCO: The Seby Patra murder case took a new turn on Saturday after one of the arrested accused, namely, Samir Sheikh alias Chammu confessed to Vasco police that he was hired to assault tiatr artiste Conception de Tuem.
Sheikh confessed that he and another person from Vasco were among those who assaulted Conception at Ravindra Bhawan, Margao, last year.
Tiatrist Conception de Tuem was allegedly assaulted by Jennifer, the wife of Francis de Tuem, and a group of people during the staging of the tiatr “Answer” at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, in July last year. 
Police refused to disclose who had hired Sheikh and his colleague, but maintained that they would inform Margao police, who are investigating the case, about the disclosure.
