MARGAO: NCP Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao on Friday said that he is not in favour of an alliance with Congress at an individual level but he is ready to accept and follow the decision of the party high command with regard to the alliance.
Speaking to the media persons, Churchill also said that the people of Goa will surely support if the alliance of NCP, Goa Forward Party and Congress is formed for the upcoming Assembly elections in the State. However, if no alliance, the NCP is ready to field at least 24 candidates.
“At the individual level, I don’t want an alliance with any other party. But at the moment the party is working hard to alliance with Congress. And hence, I am ready to accept and follow the decision of party high command,” he stated.
Churchill said that the NCP is ready to contest in at least 24 constituencies if no alliance is formed.
According to him alliance between the NCP, Congress, and Goa Forward Party will be able to give good governance to the people of Goa, and people too will support it.
