Vasco: Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho said that permissions for 200 cellular towers have been given by the government for better connectivity which will benefit the public.
He recalled people were initially hesitant and were opposing cellular towers but how now connectivity is important given how educational classes, courses, college classes etc are happening online.
“We have to move with the modern times. These permissions for the towers have been given considering that our children should study and should get good opportunities in the State itself,” he added.
The Dabolim MLA made these comments while speaking about how the phase two of the jogger park project at Chicalim will commence shortly, for which Rs 11.5 crores will be spent.
