The locals of Pernem came together and convened a meeting with the taxi owners at the Pernem Bhagwati temple premises make to demand a yellow-black taxi counter at the Manohar International Airport in Mopa. The locals stated that the government did not prioritize the locals nor compensate for their land and has even failed to fulfil the promises made to the Pernem locals. The locals have planned for an agitation on January 2.
