PERNEM: Pernem Police have arrested one Bhoop Singh(21), native of Sharach-Kullu, Himachal Pradesh for illegally possessing charas and MDMA.
According to PI Jivba Dalvi, information was received from reliable sources that one person is involved in drug activities at Arambol. Based on the tip-off, Pernem Police, on Friday, traced the accused person at a bar and restaurant in Arambol. The surprise raid yielded narcotics like charas and MDMA, where Singh was putting up. The charas and MDMA were immediately seized and taken into custody after conducting a panchanama.
The seized drugs are worth Rs 1,11,000 in international market. Pernem Police have registered an offence under Section 20(b)(II)(A) and Section 22(A) of NDPS Act. The raiding team was headed by PI Dalvi and consisted of PSI Praful Giri and other staff.
