Somewhere in 2000-01, the district authorities mooted a proposal for the relocation of the fuel pumps located right in the heart of the commercial capital citing congestion.
The proposal entails shifting the pumps to the northern and southern entrance of the town. It’s a decade and half, but sadly not a single fuel pump have been shifted till date.
Incidentally, when the proposal to shift the petrol pumps was first made in the year 2000, the district authorities had justified the move saying relocation of the pumps was a dire need to rid the city of congestion.
Traffic has increased manifold in the commercial capital since the last decade and half, but a proposal to relocate the fuel pumps from the town is confined to the dusty records books in the district collectorate.
