PANJIM: Popular Front of India (PFI) Goa on Monday said its central committee is monitoring the ongoing Jawaharlal Nehru University sedition controversy.
Announcing the hosting of a day-long convention on ‘Uphold Unity in Diversity,’ the organization’s State President Shaikh Abdul Rauf said, “The central committee is monitoring the situation. Our national secretary will attend the convention on Wednesday when he will make a statement on the issue. We will stand by his opinion.”
Conceding that communal conflicts exist to a certain extent, the organization advocated the need for an immediate solution.
The convention at Azad Maidan will have former president of World Council of Arya Samaj and politician Swami Agnivesh as the chief guest.
