MAPUSA: Water supply to parts of Bardez Taluka was affected after the main pipeline near petrol pump, at Karaswada burst, on Tuesday morning.
PWD sources informed that the pipeline burst when the work to install new pipeline from Colvale to Karaswada was underway, affecting water supply to various parts of Bardez including Mapusa, Porvorim, Aldona, Calangute, Saligao, Siolim and Anjuna. The pipeline was repaired late in the evening and water supply was restored in the night. Mapusa residents alleged that the contractor is undertaking work without the site plan in place.
