MARGAO: Aquem Ground Bachao Association (AGBA) member Clifford Dias filed a complaint against the proprietor of Shrison Realtors, Manjunath Dukle, for filing a false affidavit while renewing the construction license. The complaint was filed with the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) chief officer on Wednesday.
Dias claimed that the developer committed fraud by falsely swearing an affidavit that he is the owner of the property when Costa and Company is the real owner. He stated that the developer had applied for the renewal on August 22, 2014.
“The municipal engineer had written back to developer to annex relevant documents and an affidavit swearing that he is the owner. The builder fraudulently swore in the affidavit that he is the owner of the property and got the licenses renewed on the basis of a false claim,” said Dias.
Dias and the rest of the AGBA demanded revocation of the renewed license and strict action against the builder. They also demanded that the MMC restrain from renewing all other licenses of the builder on the Aquem ground. The AGBA also filed an RTI asking for the affidavit that the developer filed during the license renewal.
