PANJIM: As the election fever gripped Goa, several national leaders are set to descend in Goa.
The BJP on Friday announced that their star campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally in Goa on April 12, 2019.
Addressing a press conference, BJP State President Vinay Tendulkar said the venue for the rally had not been decided. “It could be in Panjim, but most probably in North Goa,” he added..
Speaking further, Tendulkar said that the BJP will win both Lok Sabha seats as well as three bypolls in Mandrem, Shiroda and Mapusa.
Reacting to the MGP’s decision to contest the Lok Sabha and three by-polls, Tendulkar said its former alliance partner should tread carefully.
“If Sudin is intelligent enough he should not contest the Lok Sabha elections,” Tendulkar said.
It is to be noted that the Shiroda ZP Jaideep Shirodkar, who was a former MGP worker, joined the BJP alongwith his supporters in the presence of BJP office bearers.
