PONDA: The Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) penalised ten chicken vendors for dumping waste in the market nullah.
Chief Officer (CO) Yogiraj Gosavi said there were complaints against the vendors for throwing waste into the nullah. The PMC earlier had issued public notice not to dump waste into nullah.

“The vendors however continued to violate the law and kept dumping waste. The PMC then impose a collective fine of Rs 5000 on all the defying the law and creating public nuisance,” said Gosavi.
