PANJIM: Goa Crime Branch arrested a professional woman poker player Amrita Sethi and her associate Akshat Jhamb for ‘robbing’ USD 3300. The accused, who are regular visitors to casinos in Goa, had robbed a person in Delhi on November 5 and had absconded.
The counterparts in Delhi shared the case details with CB based on which three teams of four Police Inspectors were formed.
“Being professional poker player and regular visitor to Goa it was suspected that she might have visited Goa. The teams found that the accused persons had visited some casinos in Goa recently. They were both eventually traced in Arpora,” reads a media statement issued by CB.
Both accused were arrested and a Delhi registered car was attached.
