Police remand for four women

Pernem Judicial Magistrate First Class Cholu Gawas remanded four Lamani women to seven days in police custody.
According to reports, Pernem police had arrested rag pickers Charu Ramesh Lamani, Gita Rahul Lamani, Laxmi Krishna Lamani and Sunita Rahul Lamani on charges of stealing 10 kgs copper samai and other utensils, all worth Rs 9,000.
Police said the four Lamanis were arrested under Section 381 of IPC and the stolen property was recovered from the accused.
