Ponda car driver killed in accident

A driver from Ponda died, while two other persons were injured when a car and a bus collided with each other at Sawantwadi on Sunday evening.
According to reports, the incident occurred when deceased Mohanlal Yadav along with Deelip Naik and Babu Rama Naik, who were proceeding in their Indica car (GA-01-B-1584) from Ambolim towards Sawantwadi, collided against a speeding mini bus, which was proceeding from Swaantwadi towards Belgaum.
MohanlalYadav died on the spot, while the other two occupants in the car, Deelip Naik and Babu Naik were injured in the accident. They were rushed to a hospital in Sawantwadi, from where they were referred to GMC Hospital in Bambolim.
The bus driver fled from the site. Sawantwadi police have registered a case against the bus driver and are investigating the case.
