Ponda Cong MLA denies news of joining BJP

PONDA: Ponda Congress MLA Ravi Naik puts the speculations of joining BJP to rest, calling it a false news. He blamed journalists for spreading fake news and said spreading unverified news, media and journalists are earning bad name.

When Naik  learnt about apparent fake news from the reporters who arrived at his office for its verification, he got furious over journalists. “I am Congress Party MLA and if I wanted to leave Congress  I would have intimated the media by myself,” said Naik. 

A message that got circulated on social media reads, “Former CM and current senior Congress MLA likely to Join BJP Goa soon in presence of the party leaders”. Countering this message on social media Naik said the Journalist who posted such message should have guts to post proper message or there might be some vested interest. “Beside me as former CM there are four former senior CMs and MLAs namely Digambar Kamat, Pratapsing Rane, Luizinho Faleiro. This message refers to whom,” he said.

Another message was making rounds was with Naik’s photo that reads “After both sons joined BJP, now Ponda MLA Ravi Naik to join BJP?
