Ponda man commits suicide

A 43-year-old man committed suicide at his residence at Prabhunagar-Ponda on Friday night.
Ponda police said Vasant alias Paresh Kulkarni allegedly hanged himself to the ceiling fan using a Dupatta. The incident came to light when the wife of the deceased returned home from shopping.
According to sources, Vasant had attempted to end his life twice by consuming tablets. The deceased is survived by his wife and a son. The motive behind the suicide is not known and PSI Sanjay Dalvi is investigating the case.
