PONDA: The Ponda tourist taxi operators on Monday decided to postpone their October 10 strike to protest Government decision for mandatory installation of speed governors on taxis by another 15 days.
Addressing media persons tourist taxi operators leader Baban Sawanth in the presence of the members informed that that they have postponed the their strike due to positive assurances from both MPs and some ministers to scrap the mandatory installation of speed governors and hoped that the RTO inspectors will now not harass them by not issuing passing and fitness certificates.
