MARGAO: Margao Municipal Council (MMC) Chief Officer has asked pork vendors in the market to pay their sopo fees only to MMC official deputed for the job and not to any private contractor or party.
The CO pointed out MMC has terminated the contract signed with Aaron Costa Fernandes to collect the sopo with effect from September 26, 2018 and hence he is not eligible to collect sopo from September 27 onwards.
