CANACONA: A pornographic video allegedly shot at the Chapoli Dam and posted various social media platforms drew flak from the residents, who demanded strict action against the perpetrators for hurting the religious sentiments of the devotees of Lord Mallikarjun.
Aghast over the obscene video, many locals condemned the absurd act on the various social media platforms.
The police said the dam authorities filed a complaint in the morning for trespassing into the property while in the evening they received another complaint from Samrat Bhagat, a resident of Bhagat Wada and a devotee of Lord Mallikarjun against unknown persons for making the video at a place believed to be sacred by the locals.
In his complaint to the Canacona Police Inspector, Bhagat demanded strict action against the perpetrators for allegedly shooting the obscene video at Chapolim Dam thereby hurting the religious sentiments of the devotees of Mallikarjun.
Bhagat further demanded that the authorities to punish the perpetrators for illegally trespassing into government property.
However it was not known when the video was shot. Speaking to Herald, Bhagat said the obscene video is in clear violation of the existing laws and the culprits should be tried under suitable Sections of the Indian Penal Code.
“It’s against the culture, ethics and beliefs of the local community, we condemn this act and request the police to investigate into the matter seriously and nab them as early as possible,” Bhagat demanded.
He claimed that the person in the video resembles a well-known model and Bollywood actress.
“We have reasons to believe that the actor in the video is the same woman who had stayed in a reputed hotel in Canacona and had complained against her husband at Canacona Police Station for assaulting her and had later withdrawn the complaint. It looks more like a publicity stunt. It’s for the authorities to now investigate and book the persons involved in this act,” Bhagat added.
Canacona Police Inspector confirmed receiving two complaints and added that they are in the process of conducting initial enquiries. The PI said the law will take its own course.
