Porvorim police book 9 persons in bank fraud case

MAPUSA: The Porvorim police have booked nine persons in bank fraud case. The accused persons allegedly took bank loan using artificial gold ornaments.

According to information obtained from Porvorim PI Anant Gaonkar Pranita Pilankar Branch Manager of Muthoot, Fincrop Lt Porvorim branch lodged a complaint against nine persons who between June 23 to July 6, 2022 with their common intention approached the finance company on different dates and availed loan of different amount by pledging spurious gold ornaments amounting to Rs 20,84,999.

In this connection, Porvorim police have booked nine persons identified as Akshay Krishna Pawar (24) resident of Candolim, Gautamee  Govind Parsekar (29) resident of Aradi, Candolim, Maliksab Chandsab Nadaf (24) resident of Anna Waddo Candolim, Vishranti Gajanand Nanodkar (53) resident of Saipem Candolim, Manjunath Nagraj Naik (24) resident of Nerul,  Geeta Babuso Kundaikar (36) resident of Sautawaddo Calangute, Prakash Ramanna Dodhamani (25) resident of Aradi Candolim, Jafar Khudboodin Bepari resident of Cottar Bhat, Aldona and Kishore Gopal Chavan (23) Aradi, Candolim under Section 420 to be read with Section 34 of IPC.

PSI Pratik Bhat Prabhu is further investigating the case.
