MARGAO: Collector South Goa Ruchika Katyal has requisitioned the entire ground floor of the Presentation Higher Secondary School, situated at Ambaji, vide a requisition order issued on Saturday. The requisition is made under the Disaster Management Act.
The order mentions that contravention of the order would result in action being taken under Section 57 of the Disaster Management Act, which entails either fine or imprisonment that can go on for one year or both.
It is learnt that this requisition is made to shift the COVID vaccination centre from the District Hospital to reduce the crowd.
