Prisoner dies of illness
VASCO: An under-trial at the Sada Sub Jail passed away while undergoing treatment at the Goa Medical College hospital at Bambolim on Saturday evening.
According to Mormugao Police, John Antonio D’Souza, who was suffering from an incurable sickness, was shifted to GMC on Saturday evening after he complained of uneasiness.
The deceased had been arrested by the Women Cell of Panjim Police on charges of committing crimes under Section 377 (unnatural sex), 506 (2) of IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act 2003..
